About the Role

The Community Based Medical Education (CBME) Recruitment and Quality Manager sits within the Institute of Health Sciences Education (IHSE). This role provides high level managerial support for the recruitment of GP placements and quality monitoring. The post holder will work closely with academic and professional staff, external stakeholders in the multidisciplinary team including GP Practices, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), GP Federations and PCNs. This role is essential to enable the continuation of the high-quality delivery of Primary Care teaching, as well as building, developing and maintaining good working relationships with our GP community. 

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience of working in Higher Education (HE) and a good understanding of the HE administrative cycle and related issues. As the CBME Recruitment and Quality Manager you will be responsible for managing the recruitment of GP practice based placements for all years of the MBBS and contribute to the continual improvement of CBME placement quality and monitoring processes. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and have a proven track record of working collaboratively and building relationships with a range of stakeholders, with experience of line-managing team members.
