About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Clinical Trials Manager with a keen interest in managing and supporting and multi-centre research studies in Latin American, focused in the testing and implementation of low resource interventions, aimed at enhancing community-based care for long-term conditions in Latin America.
About You
The successful candidate will work within the Unit for Social and Community Psychiatry (USCP), at Whitechapel and will manage and oversee the implementation of one large-scale multi-site international clinical trial and one large scale implementation study under the NIHR Global Health Research Centre, specifically focused on community-based management of long-term conditions in Latin America. The role involves working in close collaboration with academic partners in Guatemala, Bolivia, and Colombia, supporting research operations, capacity building, and stakeholder engagement.

The Centre for Psychiatry and Mental Health (CPMH) is at the forefront of research internationally into the prevention and treatment of mental illness through biopsychosocial mechanisms. We are particularly active in programmes of research on public mental health, health promotion, prevention and early intervention. Programmes include working health services, and population studies of complex risk and protective factors, co-morbidities and health inequalities. The Unit for Social and Community Psychiatry (USCP) is part of the WIPH and CPMH located at Whitechapel. The Unit is a World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre and since 2022 it has hosted a NIHR Global Health Research Centre for the Community Treatment of Long-Term Conditions.
