This is a fixed-term appointment for 12 months to provide maternity cover
The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is one of the foremost social science
universities in the world, with a global reach and an international student intake. Student Services plays a central role in LSE’s central administration and our Student Service Centre (SSC), where the post is based, offers mission critical functions that are fundamental to the student experience and educational journey.
This challenging but rewarding post is an excellent opportunity to further develop your career in Higher Education administration. You and your team will be committed to providing an outstanding level of student focused service in the delivery of some of the School’s most important core activities including exam/assessment timetabling and delivery, and central course selection administration.
You will be highly motivated, effective and an excellent communicator; possessing strong planning and organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative as well as within a team. You will have excellent management and motivational skills, using your initiative and problem-solving skills to resolve issues on a daily basis. You will apply our ethos of continuous improvement and ensure that we continue to provide an excellent service across all relevant areas. To achieve your aims, you will work closely with colleagues from within Student Services, the Academic Registrar’s Division and more widely across the LSE.
Previous experience within Higher Education administration and working in a relevant exam/assessment environment is essential. A working knowledge of the SITS database is desirable.
