RCL provides an ongoing careers support during education to our current students and graduates as well as strive to match their recruitment needs.
RCL Careers is seeking for an Employer Engagement Officer to join the Employability and Graduate Outcome Team to support the career development of students on various programmes including Business Management and Law, Health and Sports Science and Engineering and Computing.
The role reports to the Head of Employability and Graduate Outcomes sitting with the Operations team and working closely with key stakeholders, including employers, students, operations and alumni.
A key part of the role will be coordinating with the employers, this will include outreach and liaison with employers to source vacancies and placement opportunities, helping to match final year students with employment.
This role will contribute to the delivery of bespoke careers activities and events. These activities would include panel events, workshops, networking events and internships amongst others, and will enable students to build their professional network, business acumen, and demonstrate professional skills more effectively to potential employers.
This role is designed to work from campuses with a limited capacity to work from home. This also includes meeting employers off campus. The main RCL Careers office is based in Holborn and Wembley but will also needed frequent visits to all other campuses. The students attend 7 days a week including weekends, with weekdays operating from 9:00am to 9:00pm. All student support staff work on a rota, which regularly covers evenings and weekends.
One should be well-organised, able to negotiate with employers and external partners with Sales skills to promote RCL and its students. You will be managing multiple tasks and planning ahead to keep on top of priorities. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to build rapport with all.
A good knowledge of Business Management and Healthcare sectors would be beneficial, as these are key areas of interest for our students. Previous working in an educational setup or an HE or FE provision is desirable.
The position needs to be focused on multiple cohorts delivered within multiple campuses, organizing a calendar focusing on groups that need employment support. Have a strong understanding of screening and vetting processes including shortlisting, interviewing and supporting students to be more effective in their applications. Previous experience of organising a programme or events is desirable.
