The Bloomberg LSE European City Leadership Initiative is a pioneering program to help mayors and their teams across the continent strengthen leadership skills, drive public sector innovation, and tackle complex urban challenges to deliver tangible results for residents in new ways.
Job Summary
Working closely with the Head of Programme and in collaboration with colleagues at LSE and the Hertie School in Berlin, the Events Manager will oversee delivery teams and coordinate with external partners to ensure seamless, world-class events programme to inspire, educate and celebrate participants of the Bloomberg LSE European City Leadership Initiative. The postholder will play a central role in planning, delivering, and evaluating the Initiative’s flagship Mayors and Senior Leaders events, an annual Mayors Reunion, as well as public engagement events on an ad hoc basis throughout and between cohorts.
We’re seeking an experienced professional with a strong track record in leading delivery teams and managing complex, high-profile events. With proven experience overseeing projects from planning to completion, you’ll ensure delivery on time, on budget, and to the highest standard. You’ll have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, strong organisational ability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Collaborative and detail-oriented, you’ll thrive in managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
