Background
The Maintenance Team operate within the Department to maintain M&E equipment & services. The team is tasked with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance of all systems on the University Estate.
Responsibilities
You will carry out electrical maintenance both reactive and planned on a range of equipment, including AHU’s, piped and ducted systems, pumps, pressurisation units, lighting, emergency lighting, controls, and power distribution systems.
Person Specification
You will hold an appropriate City and Guilds Part 2 Certificate or equivalent and/or Craft Apprenticeship as an electrician. You must be able to demonstrate a range of M&E skills and experience.
You will have considerable experience as an electrician or equivalent, working on the electrical services installations within buildings on a large estate.
The post holder shall have familiarity with BS 7671 requirements, both theoretical and practical.
All team members are expected to work a basic working week based on a shift system which is generally 07:00 to 15:00 Monday to Friday with a cyclic late shift of 12:00 to 20:00 and a cyclic Saturday shift of 08:00 to 16:00.
