Develop machine learning of cellular automata models with applications to in vitro developmental biology.
The Opportunity:
This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The salary for this post is £41,064 to £48,822 per annum.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Undergraduate degree in physics, mathematics, or computer science
- A PhD or equivalent professional qualification and/or experience in the field of machine learning for biology and mathematical modelling
- Strong planning and organising skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to build rapport with colleagues and collaborators.
- Knowledge of high performance computing environments to train machine learning models.
