We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Clinical University Lecturer/Clinical Senior University Lecturer/Honorary Specialty Dentist in Dental Public Health to join the Glasgow Dental School, part of the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing, within the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences (MVLS) at the University of Glasgow.

Our Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programme is a modern, integrated five-year programme with an undergraduate study population of approximately 450-500. The programme has achieved excellent rankings in recent national league tables. Our advanced and collaborative curriculum recognises, respects, and fully supports individuals, to flourish and become a world changer. In partnership with the NHS, the undergraduate programme provides outstanding opportunities for clinical training.. The function of this post is to provide teaching in Dental Public Health with a particular focus on applying behavioural sciences in clinical and community settings. You will also provide support to the Dental Public Health team in the capacity of an Honorary NHS Specialty Dentist in Dental Public Health.
The University of Glasgow Dental School also offers postgraduate research opportunities and taught postgraduate programmes in a range of subjects. Our students and staff benefit from cutting-edge facilities supporting patient care, clinical training, education and research. The Dental School has recently launched an Oral Health Research Hub which provides a focus for our international collaborative research, and includes a Dental Clinical Research Facility in partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
We welcome applications from candidates with registrable qualification with the General Dental Council and experience in work related to dental public health (such as dental public health research, Community Dentistry/Public Dental Service).
