Research Support Unit 

The Research Support Unit has a major role in delivering the University’s Research Strategy 2024-2029. It supports academics across UWL undertake cutting-edge research that has a lasting impact on society.    

In this post, you will take the lead in ensuring we have a university-wide infrastructure & culture that facilitates research impact. You will provide professional leadership and support; help our academic staff develop pathways to impact and identify potential research users; promote the wide use of research findings; and make sure we have evidence about the impact of our research.        

We are looking for candidates who are: skilled in impact evaluation using both quantitative and qualitative methods; able to write and edit to a high standard on a range of complex topics; & have excellent communication skills, including face-to-face and through digital channels. Ideally, they will also have experience of working in a university or other research-focused environment, a good understanding of the academic research process, and a proven track record of engaging stakeholders across non-academic sectors.
