About the Bloomberg LSE European City Leadership Initiative
The Bloomberg LSE European City Leadership Initiative is a pioneering program to help mayors and their teams across the continent strengthen leadership skills, drive public sector innovation, and tackle complex urban challenges to deliver tangible results for residents in new ways.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Communications Manager to lead the strategic management, oversight and delivery of the Initiative’s communications activities including press outreach, digital engagement, web development and dissemination events in support of the Initiative’s goals, ensuring overall communication and brand building is aligned with the Initiative’s goals and guidelines.
The postholder will work closely with the Communications team at Bloomberg Philanthropies and senior stakeholders at LSE and Hertie School to shape and implement high-impact communications approaches that are responsive to the needs of city government leaders by identifying and creating impactful stories based on data and creating clear, engaging content for the Initiative with a strong emphasis on storytelling.
Candidates should have experience managing and delivering communications strategies and campaigns in a fast-paced environment, excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as a proactive and collaborative attitude.
