Join our team and make a real impact on the future of pensions at the University!

We’re looking for a detail-driven and analytical professional to manage and support the administration of our five University pension schemes. As a Pensions Analyst, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, scheme rules, and University policies, while delivering exceptional service to our staff and stakeholders.

In this role you will be the go-to person for all things pensions. You will handle contributions, answer questions, including taxation issues such as lifetime and annual allowances, providing clear, expert guidance to staff, management and external stakeholders. You will collaborate with Payroll, People Team and external stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes. You will also produce essential documentation including auto-enrolment letters, pension statements and member certificates. You will be responsible for maintaining data integrity through regular audits and data cleansing activities.

We are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of pension legislation and compliance requirements, with high attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Has the ability to communicate and explain complex information clearly and confidently. If you have worked in pensions administration or a similar financial/HR role then this would be a great opportunity for you.

Why join us?

You’ll be part of a supportive People team, working in a role that combines technical expertise with meaningful impact. We offer a collaborative environment, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to make a difference in the lives of our staff.

Flexible Working

  • We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis (e.g. job share), despite the position being advertised as full-time.

About You

You’re a detail-oriented professional with a passion for accuracy and compliance. You bring strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex pension information, explaining it clearly and confidently to a range of stakeholders. You thrive in a busy, high-volume environment and have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.

You know how to plan and prioritise your workload, using initiative to solve problems. Your understanding of pensions legislation and regulatory requirements is solid, and you are familiar with salary sacrifice schemes and how University pension rules work. Above all, you are passionate about delivering excellent service.

For details on the experience and skills required, please refer to the job description.
