Library Services at Queen Mary has a vibrant international staff group and a rapidly evolving service base. About You
You will be educated to A level or equivalent or be similarly qualified by experience. You will have experience of working in a library or have relevant transferable experience.
About the Post
We are seeking a Library Assistant for Library Frontline Services. For information regarding the remit and responsibilities, please refer to the job pack for this post.
You would also spend part of each working day on a service point, providing drop-in help for students about library spaces, lending services and e-resources.
These posts are based at the Mile End Campus in London, but you will be expected to work at other sites, including Whitechapel and West Smithfield Libraries. There are various fixed term posts available detailed below. The starting salary will be Grade 3, in the range of £33,263 - £40,015 per annum pro rata, inclusive of London Allowance.
The working patterns available are as follows:
PT pattern 1- 0.8FTE
PT pattern 2 – 0.6FTE
PT pattern 3 – 0.6FTE
Breaks are unpaid and are one hour on weekdays and 30 minutes on weekends.
