Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield
Main duties and responsibilities
Working as a key part of the international team you will be expected to have a good understanding of the international admissions policies, procedures and processes and be able to transfer this expertise to support colleagues. You will assist a team in the assessing and processing of international applications on the University’s student record system, making initial judgements about the suitability of individual applications based on the programme’s approved entry requirements. You will act as a deputy to the International Admissions Manager, and duty manager to the International Admissions team in their absence. You will also take an active role in the reviews and projects initiated to improve the University’s international admissions processes and procedures and the service provided to applicants and schools of study. You will assist in the liaison with academic admissions tutors, programme directors and other members of staff with regard to admissions issues. You will also liaise with our foundation provider Hertfordshire International College and external partners regarding the admission of students entering through progression.
Skills and experience
In order to be considered for this position, you will need to have a proven track record of successfully working in a comparable international admissions or administrative role. We are seeking a candidate who is self-motivated with great organisational skills and experience managing and delivering excellent customer service skills. This role involves a high level of interaction with internal and external stakeholders, so you will need to be capable of establishing relationships quickly and effectively and be personable with strong communication skills.

Qualifications required
You will be educated with a minimum of a degree, or equivalent qualification, or have substantial relevant work experience.
