Joint role with the School of Health Sciences (University of Greenwich) and Community Hospice
Background
The School of Health Sciences is part of a highly successful and vibrant faculty, frequently commended for our partnership working across the health and social care sector. Supported by our simulation strategy and resources, the school delivers a range of undergraduate and post graduate courses leading to registration in allied healthcare, nursing and midwifery professions. The University has invested over £8 million in the development of a state-of-the-art simulation centre, which further enhances our record of teaching, research and knowledge exchange innovation. We also have a wide portfolio of post qualifying provision including a MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
At Community Hospice, we have one purpose: helping people living with a terminal illness to live as well as they can for as long as they can. Our multi-professional clinical team works across community, hospital and hospice-based services to help people stay independent, active, and connected for as long as possible and to have the best end of life when the time comes.
Would you like to be part of a partnership that really makes a difference?
We’re looking for someone who’s ready for a role that’s both challenging and deeply rewarding. If you want to develop yourself, inspire and develop others, and ultimately improve care for people at one of the most important times in their lives, this could be the job for you. This unique joint appointment offers an exciting opportunity to blend clinical education and professional development with academic teaching. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of adult nursing and palliative care by delivering high-quality education, supervision, practice and research across the hospice and university. The role will involve cross site working with 50% at Community Hospice in Abbeywood and 50% at University of Greenwich (Avery Hill Campus with some travel to the Medway campus)
