The Counselling and Mental Health team is pleased to be recruiting a full time Counsellor to maintain its excellent service delivery to students experiencing emotional, psychological, or mental health concerns.

The successful candidate will work closely with Mental Health Practitioners and Counsellors in a fast moving, integrated team that provides triage, one to one support, and small group interventions to our student population. You will meet students of all ages and from a variety of backgrounds with both straightforward and complex presentations. This is an opportunity to make a real difference within a vibrant learning community, and to bring your unique skills and experience to our innovative and supportive team.

Although this is a full time position, we would consider a job share.

  • Annual incremental increase up to £37,174, with the opportunity to progress to £40,497 subject to performance and the university reward scheme
  • Up to 36 days of leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays and University closure days) rising to 41 total days after 5 years’ continuous service
