An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new role in our Ludwig Cancer Research team as a Flow Cytometry Lead. As the facility lead, you will be driving projects forward utilising your specialist knowledge and organisational skills. This role will be at the forefront of shaping the strategic direction of this core facility, leading cutting edge research projects as well as driving innovation in flow cytometry innovations.

You will be responsible for carrying out an advanced flow cytometry focused research program, including but not limited to complex immune profiling, sorting and cloning immune cells from PBMCs derived from clinical samples or preclinical models and consulting with scientists on experimental design, panel development and data analysis. You will be expected to oversee the day to day management of the facility ensuring smooth and reliable delivery of flow cytometry and cell sorting services. Equally, you will be responsible for the management, development and sustainability of the facility along with the budgets and financial management.

It is essential that you hold a DPhil/PhD in immunology or another relevant discipline along with extensive experience in operating and troubleshooting capabilities in flow cytometry and cell sorting, ideally applied to both suspension and adherent cells. You must be skilled in multicolour design, spectral flow, and data analysis using tools like FlowJo and pipeline for highly multiplexed multi-parameter panels
