About the role:
Applications are invited for a fixed-term Research Associate position as part of the 3-year project entitled “Durable and Resilient Advanced Cementitious Materials for Deep-Sea Infrastructure (DuRACS)”, funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). The research project will be delivered by a consortium of academic and industrial partners from the UK and Japan.
What you would be doing:
You will make regular contributions to a variety of academic tasks, including management of research projects, positively interacting and communicating with internal and external stakeholders, developing research proposals, supervising Masters and PhD students, and demonstrating research excellence and leadership to more junior members of the Research Group.
You will be based at the world-leading Imperial Centre for Infrastructure Materials (https://www.imperial.ac.uk/infrastructure-materials/), and will collaborate with other researchers working in the project consortium. You will thus receive strong mentoring in a highly stimulating academic research environment, with access to internationally leading academics, industrial partners, research facilities, and networks.

This role is for a full time, fixed-term contract until 31 January 2028, with an anticipated start date of 1 April 2026. The starting salary will be £49,017 per annum.
