We are a world class research-intensive university. We deliver teaching and learning of the highest quality. We play a leading role in economic, social and cultural development of the North East of England. Attracting and retaining high-calibre people is fundamental to our continued success.
The Role
This post is based in the Education Policy and Governance team in Registry and Education Services, part of Student Services.
This role, and the team, has a broad and varied remit working across the institution to bring about educational change and enhance the student learning experience. Working in partnership with colleagues and students to develop, review and implement regulations, policies and processes, driving continuous improvement and ensuring the quality and standard of our educational offer.
You will lead on one or more areas of work within the Service's remit, managing and developing this area of responsibility and working closely with team members and colleagues across the University to ensure its delivery. Areas of responsibility do regularly shift between roles in line with business needs and these may change over time. You will also contribute to shared responsibilities across the team and ad hoc projects and policy development.
You will work closely in collaboration with team members and with colleagues across the institution including senior management, those in central services, faculties, academic units, across branch campuses and with the Students' Union (NUSU).
