Are you passionate about medical education in primary care?? Would you like to contribute to the strategy of a fast-paced, growing medical school?
We are seeking an inspirational educator and role model in general practice for the role of Lead for GP and Community Education. This role will involve working across the KMMS footprint and will make a major contribution to the continuous improvement of the KMMS undergraduate medical programme, including developing placement initiatives and teaching innovations within primary care. . It is open to suitably qualified specialists in General Practice or Community Care (or equivalent) who have a specific interest in medical education.
The successful applicant will be working in current clinical practice within NHS General Practice and have significant evidence of recent expertise in medical education. Ideally, they will also have experience within the following range of activities: student selection, curriculum design, assessment including admissions, use of portfolios in medical education, electronic learning and assessment, and inter-professional learning and assessment.
The role will involve working on the campus sites of both the partner universities in Canterbury and Medway and conducting extensive liaison work with Primary Care placement providers based across Kent and Medway as well as with other community stakeholders including the Kent and Medway Primary Care Training Hub.
