Main duties and responsibilities
You will provide practical ‘hands-on’, specialist technical Animation services and support, to meet a wide range of staff and student needs in connection with the learning and teaching, research and other work of the Animation department within the School of Creative Arts. You will be in daily contact with staff and students and should have the skills and experience required to deal with a busy workload offering technical demonstration, advice, routine services and support to resolve common problems.
Skill and experience required
You will have practical experience in at least one of the following software titles; Houdini, Nuke and/or Unreal Engine. Knowledge of computer systems optimisation for Animation, Games and VFX specific use is essential for this role. You will possess basic knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, be able to work in a team and provide a professional service along with the ability to supervise a team. This role requires you to be able and willing to work to a high level of accuracy and safety, whilst being flexible and adaptable to team and workload requirements.
Qualifications required
The post holder will be educated with a minimum of Degree or equivalent level 6 qualification in a related subject area or have relevant proven experience.
