This is a fixed term appointment for 12 Months from February 2026
The Department of Government is a large and vibrant academic unit within the LSE and world-leading centre for study and research in politics and government. The post holder will join the Professional Services team responsible for delivering the taught programmes within the Department. Key to our continued success is the provision of tailored and proactive support to our students, the Student Advice and Support Manager plays a central role in enhancing the pastoral and welfare support we offer to around 500 undergraduate and 300 Master’s students.
Responsibilities include holding regular meetings with students to offer pastoral support and guidance on academically related advice matters; working closely with Academic and Professional Services colleagues to continuously develop and enhance the student experience; offering guidance to Academic Mentors to improve support offered to their students.
