The School of the Biological Sciences and the School of the Physical Sciences are seeking a full-time Natural Sciences Tripos (NST) Co-ordinator to lead on the co-ordination, administration and delivery of the University's flagship Natural Sciences Tripos (NST) course. This exciting role is a core part of both School teams; the NST involves a network of Academic and Professional Services colleagues across two Schools and 16 Departments, with more than 2300 students spread across three years
This key role oversees all aspects of teaching and examinations across the programme and is the point of contact for all queries and requests from students, academics, colleges and University administration. The role holder will be expected to develop policy and refine processes to increase efficiency and allow further support to Schools and departments in delivery of the NST course including engaging with central transformation programmes relating to education and contributes regularly to central reviews, consultations and forums related to education.
The post-holder is secretary to the NST Management Committee and the Committee of the Directors of Education for the Biological Sciences and will be expected to organise meetings, brief the Committees and the Chairs, take forward any action points as agreed and proactively bring attention to internal and external developments affecting delivery of the NST course. The role holder will be expected to develop a strong working relationship with the Chairs and colleagues across both Schools, leading and influencing on discussions relating to NST.
