Alongside providing exceptional customer service, you will ensure the safety and wellbeing of both visitors and collections, adhering to all standard operating procedures and emergency plans. You will champion the Museum and its audiences at all times, embodying the principles of our Visitor Experience Charter, and contribute to a culture that values equity, belonging, and representation, ensuring that every visitor feels welcome, respected, and inspired.
Our Visitor Experience & Box Office Hosts deliver a world-class and inclusive visitor experience, embodying the core values of the Fitzwilliam Museum in every interaction. You will play a key role in maximising commercial opportunities by using our Box Office, Ticketing, and Customer Relationship Management system (Tessitura) and associated EPOS hardware to sell exhibition tickets, memberships, and to facilitate donations.
Confident and approachable, you will engage with visitors to explain our ticket pricing structure and concessionary offers clearly and accurately, even in a busy, customer-facing environment. You will demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring that every visitor feels valued and welcomed. In doing so, you will uphold the Museums dedication to accessibility, equity, and excellence in visitor service, contributing to a positive and inclusive experience for all.
