The Library at Middlesex University is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Subject Liaison Librarian to join our friendly and dynamic team. This is a permanent position based at our Hendon campus in London, primarily with responsibility for supporting our business programmes.
In this role, you will work closely with academic staff and students in your subject areas, acting as a key point of contact between the Library and the University community. You will support teaching, learning, and research through the delivery of information literacy sessions, the development of online learning materials, and the curation of high-quality information resources.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification in Librarianship or Information Science and have experience of delivering library or information services within an educational setting. You will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and demonstrate flexibility and initiative in a busy and complex environment.
Middlesex is committed to fostering an inclusive working environment. We encourage applications from underrepresented groups including people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic groups, disabled people, LGBTQ+ people, women, and gender non-conforming individuals. All recruitment decisions will be based on merit.
We value diversity and strive to create a fairer, more equitable work environment for our staff and students.
We offer a range of family friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, staff diversity networks, campus facilities and services to support staff from different backgrounds.
Middlesex is home to a diverse community of professionals. We are a bronze award holder of the Athena Swan Charter and the Race Equality Charter, a Stonewall Top 100 employer and Gold award holder in 2023, and a Disability Confident Leader.
