The Role
Kingston is rolling out a dedicated lecture capture system ready for the 2026/7 academic year. The role will support digital and online learning and teaching and core learning technologies, with a focus on lecture capture. Specifically, the role will support the training of university staff in the effective use of a new institutional lecture capture system in teaching and learning. This will involve running a wide range of staff development workshops, both face to face and online, delivering one-to-one support sessions, developing training materials and other asynchronous online support resources, supporting online accessibility, and providing general support and problem solving in using and implementing learning technologies related to lecture capture.
The Person
The successful candidate will be passionate about using technologies to enhance learning and teaching. They will have a minimum of a BA/BSc in a relevant area (e.g. Graphic Design, Education, Education Technology, Computer Science, or other degree where relevant digital skills were developed) and will be an experienced learning technologist. They will have significant experience in supporting academic staff in online, blended and digitally supported learning, teaching and assessment, including the use of core learning technologies (including a VLE), and in developing and planning online learning, teaching and assessment resources. Ideally, they will be experienced in using and supporting lecture capture systems. They will also have an understanding of inclusive higher education pedagogies, particularly in reference to online learning, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 1 year with a starting salary of £34,007 per annum.
