About the Role
Applications are sought for a Research Technician, to provide technical support to the research programme in the Stojic Laboratory working on the role of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNA) in genome stability and cancer. The research will be based in the Centre for Cancer Cell and Molecular Biology, Barts Cancer Institute, within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London.
About You
Applicants should have an BSc in Biological Sciences or relevant fields and have a strong background in cancer biology and RNA biology. Essential requirements for this post include experience of working in a biomedical research laboratory as well as experience in cell, RNA, molecular biology and CRISPR genome editing methods. Knowledge in the field of functional genomics, microscopy imaging, immunohistochemistry, and experience with animal work would be an advantage. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential.
