About us:
The Entrepreneurship Institute is the dedicated hub of all entrepreneurial activity at King’s College London. For almost 200 years, King’s has been striving to improve the world and today is bursting with creative problem solvers, innovative thinkers and entrepreneurial leaders.
We believe that everyone can be entrepreneurial, and that entrepreneurial people can help make the world a better place by solving problems to create a healthier, smarter, more equal and sustainable future.
About the role:
The Head of Communications and Engagement (maternity cover) will play a crucial, strategic role in championing the Entrepreneurship Institute’s (EI) vision and key message: that everyone can be entrepreneurial, and that entrepreneurial people can help make the world a better place by solving problems, creating a healthier, smarter, more equal and sustainable future.
This role will increase awareness of, and participation in, entrepreneurial activities, through a programme of engagement about the Institute to diverse groups of students, staff and alumni, supporting them to understand what it means to be entrepreneurial and take their first steps in being a creative problem solver and disruptive thinker (i.e. early engagement). Engagement targets, each year, will include growth in digital communities, metrics showing engagement for the first time and deepening engagement as students participate and develop further.
The role will also create communication plans for the Institute’s skills development and start-up support programmes (mid-to-high engagement). It is suited to a creative, curious and collaborative individual who enjoys the challenge of working across multiple projects with different stakeholders.
The post-holder will manage a Communications and Engagement Officer, and work with them to develop and deliver a Communications and Engagement strategy that gives life to the Institute's vision and activities and compels audiences to join and further engage with our offerings.
