We are advertising for two new fixed term roles to expand the already existing and established Academic Quality team to enhance support for the Universities diverse and growing portfolio. This opportunity would suit candidates who are eager to gain holistic insight into university operations, Schools, and experience of academic quality practices.
Main duties and responsibilities
As a member of our Academic Quality team, you will be at the forefront of coordinating and supporting validation and review activities at the University as well as at our collaborative partners. Your role will involve collaborating with diverse stakeholders across the institution, offering expert advice to interpret key compliance policies, and bridging the gap between different teams ensuring seamless communication and collaboration throughout the development process.
You will be required to provide an excellent administrative, organisational, and advisory service and you will have administrative oversight of the production and approval of prime legal and academic documents linked to new developments. You will also have responsibilities to maintain data relating to courses and curriculum using appropriate systems.
Skills and experience required
You will already have substantial proven administrative experience, ideally within an HEI, along with proficiency and experience in IT across the range of Microsoft products including databases, spreadsheets and word-processing.
You will be able to demonstrate that you have experience of managing a range of demands, and the ability to work under pressure, within a complex and dynamic organisation. You should be highly organised, with a good attention to detail and the ability to create successful working relationships with a wide range of people.
The successful candidate will be positive in their approach and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and have experience of writing reports to a high standard. Ideally you will have experience of supporting events and/or committee activity.
The successful candidates will have the ability and willingness to travel within the UK and overseas as the business requirement arises and will encourage a culture of flexibility, excellence and willingness to assist colleagues across Academic Registry.
Qualifications required
You will hold a degree or equivalent qualification or have proven professional experience at an appropriate level.
