Social Media Officer

Job description:

We’re recruiting a Social Media Officer for the University of Sheffield’s Marketing, Admissions, Recruitment and Communications department. This position is for an experienced and trend-aware specialist in social media content creation and channel growth, joining our Social Media Team.

The University’s Social Media Team enhances the University’s reputation by guiding the creation and management of social media content and channels. These target current, prospective, and alumni students, academics, funders, policy makers, and other audiences around the world.

This is a busy and challenging role but it’s also terrifically satisfying and rewarding. You’ll lead the coordination, development, and distribution of a rapid flow of timely, authentic, and relevant social media content with confidence.

You’ll be an experienced social media channel manager; comfortable making  enterprise-level decisions at speed.

And you’ll be an inclusive and inquisitive communicator who can directly contribute to developing high value social media practice for our academics, researchers and other colleagues across the University.

In return, you’ll collaborate with inspiring students and transformative academics to share our award-winning student experience and world-leading research with an international audience.
