ABOUT US
Transforming lives through excellent education
London Met is an extraordinary institution. Equity and social inclusion have always been our driving principles, and it's what makes the University so unique. Our organisation is distinctive, both in its eclectic and diverse community of students and staff, and also for its historical role in serving some of London’s most deprived boroughs. Everything we do is underpinned by our philosophy that an individual should have the opportunity to transform their life through the power of education.
Equipping our students with the tools for their future is at the heart of our academic offering. We pride ourselves on providing our students with access to a wealth of opportunities and professions. Our graduates benefit personally, but also contribute their unique perspectives to society, culture, public service and the economy in all areas of London, the UK and around the world.
ABOUT THE POST
Student Recruitment is essential to London Metropolitan University’s long-term sustainability, and continued excellence in Widening Participation forms a major part of our institutional strategy.
We are looking for an efficient and organised administrator with excellent people skills to manage the team's administration and lead on our Student Ambassador Programme, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and outstanding customer service.
A key aspect of the role will be managing the day-to-day operations of the Student Ambassador Programme, ensuring the scheme operates efficiently and students are well supported. This includes the line management of Student Ambassadors; scheduling work opportunities; managing payroll and coordinating the Student Ambassador recruitment cycle, ensuring inclusive practice throughout.
Reporting to the Associate Director of UK Recruitment, you will also provide high-quality administrative and operational support to the University’s UK Recruitment team, including Events, Business Development, Student Recruitment and Outreach and Widening Participation. You will be responsible for managing team budgets and financial processes; coordinating administrative systems; and supporting the delivery of student recruitment activity.
If you are an experienced administrator with strong organisational and interpersonal skills we would love to hear from you.
The Department is a hybrid-working team, but with regular face-to-face requirements based on Business/Department needs. Please note that this role is primarily based at our Holloway Campus, although there is scope for occasional hybrid working.
This post will be subject to a Basic DBS check.
Interviews due to be held in week commencing 16 February 2026.
