Student Conduct Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity to help shape a supportive, respectful, and safe living environment for our students. If you have experience of administrating in a customer or students facing role, including responding to sensitive issues (e.g. sexual misconduct) and want to make a real impact on student life, this could be the role for you.

As a Student Conduct Assistant, you will play a key role in managing student behaviour to ensure an excellent student experience. You’ll work closely with the Residence Life Team, supporting the smooth transition of students from home to university living and helping to build self-supporting communities.

Your responsibilities will include helping collate evidence and reports of student misconduct, taking notes during investigation and disciplinary hearings and keeping accurate records, supporting the wider team to respond to student queries and coordinate effective responses. You will ensure all actions comply with the University’s regulations and statutory guidance while showing sensitivity to the potential impact on students.

You will also contribute to educational campaigns and projects that promote positive behaviour and community engagement across our residences. This role requires excellent organisational skills, confidence in handling complex and sensitive cases, and the ability to communicate clearly and fairly with a diverse range of students and staff.
