Post Summary:

The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to mental health teaching within the undergraduate nursing degree programme in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to teaching and will have engaged in scholarly activities. Furthermore, they will be able to undertake academic administrative work. While they will primarily contribute to the undergraduate programme, they will also undertake postgraduate teaching, supervision and mentoring as designated by the Head of Discipline/Head of School.

Context:

The school requires a candidate to contribute to teaching and assessing primarily within mental health nursing and may contribute to the shared areas of the nursing and midwifery programmes. The candidate will help to support and develop existing curricula at undergraduate and postgraduate levels across programmes. The successful candidate will require a depth of knowledge relevant to mental health nursing.

Garda Clearance: Garda vetting will be sought in respect of individuals who come under consideration for this post.

Post status: 3 year fixed-term contract

This post is offered on a fixed-term basis in accordance with University policy, as Teaching Fellow appointments are not intended to be long-term and are normally limited to a maximum duration of three years.

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Teaching Fellow Merged Pay Scale Annual Rate (€42,500 -€54,139 pro-rata) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
