We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Training and Events Administrator to support the growing International Alliance for Cancer Early Detection (ACED) Cambridge community. This is a pivotal position at the heart of a dynamic research environment, providing essential administrative coordination for ACED staff and programmes. The role holder will take responsibility for the day to day administration workflow, ensuring smooth delivery of activities that underpin the success of ACED Cambridge. 

Working closely with colleagues across the Department of Oncology, and the Cambridge CRUK training team, the postholder will support a wide range of training initiatives and events. These will include remote, hybrid and in person meetings, workshops and symposia involving partners across the Alliance. The administrator will act as the primary point of contact for attendees and presenters, coordinating logistics, preparing agendas, and using AI enabled tools to capture and refine meeting minutes. They will also contribute to the development of newsletters, reports and other communications that showcase ACED Cambridges work. 

The successful candidate will bring strong office IT skills, including confident use of MS Teams and related digital platforms. Experience in procurement and basic finance processes, such as raising purchase orders and booking travel, will be essential. The role also requires the ability to collate, interrogate and analyse data for reporting purposes, as well as supporting the maintenance and cleaning of existing databases.

On occasions the role-holder must be able to work flexibly as some events may require evening or weekend participation.

The role part-time and is suitable for a minimum of 12 hours per week, days and hours to be worked will be negotiable on appointment. 

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2028 in the first instance.
