The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI), with the Institute for Technology and Humanity (ITH), is a highly interdisciplinary research centre working on many of the most pressing issues of our modern world. Research at CFI is focused on the challenges and opportunities posed by the future development of artificial intelligence (AI), in both the short and long term.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the administrative team at CFI and work closely with our team of researchers and academics, as well as the friendly professional services team across ITH.
The role holder will play a key role in supporting a range of functions within the Centre. Based within the CFI professional staff team, you will undertake tasks such as coordinating the visitor process, supporting the researchers with procurement, organizing conferences and events and arranging travel, acting as committee secretary. Additionally, you will support the Centre Coordinator and Institute Manager with ad hoc administrative projects as needed. The is a part-time role working 29.2 hours/week.
You will join us with proven experience of working in an administrative environment, ideally educated to degree level or equivalent level of practical experience.
You will be well-organised with a positive, flexible approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively to meet deadlines. You will have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships with administrative colleagues, research staff, and other stakeholders.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 year, due to limited funding.
