Job description:
Working Pattern: Full-time, working 35 hours per week – usually Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly organised and collaborative events specialist who will play a key role in raising the profile of the University of Sheffield and influencing the decisions of prospective students. This is an exciting role where the post-holder will work with colleagues to plan a wide range of in-person and online events, and deliver an inspiring visitor experience. They will play a key role in delivering open days, where we welcome thousands of visitors to our campus throughout each year, as well as supporting webinars, sessions for schools and colleges, and external fairs and exhibitions.
The role is based in a busy Faculty Hub team and has a focus on specific subject areas. The post-holder will act as a key link between academic Schools and the central student recruitment service that informs and delivers the University's student recruitment strategy. You will develop close, productive working relationships with academic staff in your subject area, and a large community of student recruitment, marketing and events specialists. You will need great communication skills, experience of planning, delivering and evaluating successful events, and a passion for customer service.
