The Screen School is looking to recruit a Course Leader for MA Visual Effects, to cover 6 months paternity leave (April – October 2026).
MA Visual Effects (VFX) develops students' technical computing skills, animation, lighting and editing capabilities through a practice-led approach. The Moving Image and Digital Arts programme is a dynamic working environment where no two days are ever the same.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead an enthusiastic team of visual effects and computer animation practitioners and lecturers, and to contribute to the teaching of a diverse group of students as they progress through their postgraduate course.
Working in the role of Course Leader is highly collaborative and requires a range of skills beyond teaching and assessment, including organising behind the scenes with lecturers, technicians and industry networks; leading on student recruitment; completing quality processes; and continuing the preparation for the move to a new building.
About you
You might be in between jobs or feel the need for a change, or to step up your skillset into a leadership position. We are looking for someone who is passionate about visual effects teaching and learning and can confidently lead and support the staff and students through this period of change, whilst the course leader is on paternity leave.
