About the Role
The post holder will be joining The Centre for Preventive Neurology as a Study Coordinator for the Parkinson’s Progression Markers Initiative https://www.ppmi-info.org/.
PPMI is a large cohort study that aims to identify biological markers of Parkinson’s risk, onset and progression in addition to providing the broad research community a comprehensive, standardized, longitudinal data set and biosample library.
The post holder will manage and direct administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of PPMI, ST Direct, and related studies. Key responsibilities will be to coordinate study visits and participant flow between the studies, overseeing sample collection and completion of recruitment targets, liaison with participants, researchers, and key stakeholders, with appropriate delegation to other administrative staff.
About You
Candidates must be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject. The ideal candidate will have sound experience in coordinating and managing projects and will be familiar with good clinical practice. Experience working within a multi-disciplinary professional team of healthcare professionals, researchers, and patients/public groups is essential. Knowledge of Parkinson’s disease or other neurodegenerative disorders would be desirable.

The Institute is organised into six research centres which, though complementary and following the Institute’s strategic plan, also have Centre-specific objectives and requirements.
The Centre for Preventive Neurology brings together an expert team to carry out revolutionary new research into Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s Disease. Their focus is on academic discipline, research, the translation of research into health strategies and their practical implementation.
