The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. We are looking to recruit a part-time Head of Wellbeing. Based in Student Support Services, you will be delivering a student-focused, professional, friendly, and efficient wellbeing service to postgraduate level students.
The role holder provides leadership, management and effective operation of wellbeing support for our Masters, Research Degree and Distance Learning students through the management of a team of counsellors, mental health adviser and external suppliers.
You should hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification or equivalent relevant experience along with an associated professional postgraduate qualification - counselling, psychotherapy, mental health or equivalent. You should have experience of providing counselling and/or clinical mental health support in a higher education setting post-qualification and good working knowledge of relevant legislation (eg General Data Protection Regulations, Equality Act). The post is part-time 21 hours per week, 0.6 FTE and permanent.
The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 7 in the range £53,317 - £61,034 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London.
