About the role
We are seeking an experienced Deputy School Manager to support the School’s continued growth and strategic ambition to be recognised among the world’s leading business schools.
Reporting to the School Manager, the Deputy School Manager will play a central role in delivering operational and strategic priorities. The postholder will have responsibility for financial management, strategic planning and oversight of Professional Services, providing leadership to teams across finance, research support and executive support.
A key focus of the role is ensuring that services, systems and processes are robust, scalable and aligned with the School’s expansion. You will support the implementation of UCL, Faculty and School policies, ensuring effective communication and compliance. The postholder will deputise for the School Manager as required and contribute to shaping the School’s long-term strategic direction.
Salary: UCL Grade 8, £54,931–£62,903 (including London Allowance)
Location: Canary Wharf (minimum 40% on-site; hybrid working available)

About you
You will be educated to degree level (or hold an equivalent professional qualification) or have significant relevant experience within Higher Education or a similarly complex environment. A qualification in accounting, or equivalent experience managing finance within Higher Education, is essential.
You will demonstrate substantial experience in administration and management within large, complex organisations, including effective financial management and control. Experience in strategic planning and translating strategy into operational delivery is also required.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in line management and developing multidisciplinary teams, including leading change and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. You will be able to motivate, inspire and support colleagues while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
