Are you an experienced leader in advanced manufacturing research with a passion for robotics and digital technologies? We have an exciting opportunity in the Integrated Manufacturing Group (IMG) at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) for a visionary professional looking to use their skills in automated assembly and manufacturing intelligence to make a global impact on the future of industry.

We are looking for an inspiring leader with a strong technical foundation and a proven track record in the advanced manufacturing research environment. You will have significant experience in securing and executing high-profile, high-value projects for industrial partners, ensuring financial sustainability and growth. As a person who motivates high performance, you will empower a diverse team of approximately 95 research and professional staff, fostering an inclusive culture where everyone feels they belong. While a good honours degree is essential, we also value candidates who can demonstrate a robust, proven background in similar high-stakes environments.

As the Head of IMG, you will provide strategic direction for a group with an active order book exceeding £10M. Reporting to the AMRC Executive Board, you will lead the senior leadership team to deliver high-quality research outputs and cultivate a future business pipeline.
