Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking a Lecturer in Discrete Mathematics or Computer Science, to join us this Autumn term 2026.
We are seeking a Lecturer in Discrete Mathematics or a Lecturer in Computer Science on a permanent, full-time contract, to join Birkbeck's School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences.
Our School offers a successful range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Computer Science, Data Science and Mathematics, and our internationally leading research is organised in three themes – Discrete Mathematics and Algorithms, Data Science and AI, and Logical Methods.
As part of our Faculty of Science, you will have the opportunity to engage in both teaching and research, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in your field and you will play a pivotal role in shaping the intellectual future of our diverse student cohort, teaching across our courses and contributing to our exciting research culture and environment, situated in the heart of London's historic Bloomsbury area.

Remuneration
?44,247 rising to ?60,858 per annum. The salary is Grade LLEC on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
