The joint programme is a highly regarded and successful programme based in Nanchang, China that started in 2013. Teaching and assessments are delivered in person in Nanchang as QM staff travel out to China for multiple teaching and assessment visits across the academic year. However, staff are based within the School of Biological and Behavioural Science at Mile End when not on a teaching visit in China.

About You

We are looking to recruit highly collegiate individuals to join an interactive interdisciplinary team working together to support and encourage student learning and development. You will have a passion for your chosen academic disciplines, but should also have the appropriate subject knowledge and ability to teach and integrate knowledge across the range of subjects on the Biomedical Sciences undergraduate curriculum.

Underpinning our teaching is the development of critical thinking skills in our students to enable our qualified graduates to be well versed in evidence-based medicine in later practice and research.  Therefore, we expect the successful candidate will have an excellent academic background with a relevant PhD in the Life or Biomedical Sciences and/ or equivalent professional qualification and experience.

About the School

The School is a large and expanding academic unit, which provides a supportive and friendly environment that prides itself on its inclusivity of staff and students, as well as research-led innovative teaching throughout its educational programmes. Joint Programme staff interact extensively with one another both in Nanchang and Mile End in person.
