We are looking for a practical, hands-on Analytical Technical Demonstrator to join our team at the School of Science at the Medway Campus. This is an exciting opportunity to support teaching and research in a dynamic academic environment, working closely with students and staff to deliver exceptional learning experiences.

As a Technical Demonstrator, you will:

  • Provide practical demonstrations and technical guidance to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Support teaching sessions in analytical laboratories during term time.
  • Collaborate with specialist technicians and academic staff to showcase advanced instrumentation.
  • Ensure safe working practices and help maintain teaching areas.
  • Outside term time, contribute to research activities, technical infrastructure, health and safety, outreach and supervise postgraduate projects.


We are looking for someone with:

  • Enthusiasm for science and a passion for sharing knowledge.
  • Strong technical skills and experience with analytical instrumentation.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • A proactive team player who can also work independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, academics and industrial stakeholders.
