Job Description:
De Montfort University (DMU) is an ambitious, globally minded institution focused on delivering high-quality teaching, learning and a sector-leading student experience. As a culturally rich university committed to the public good, DMU fosters a stimulating, inclusive environment where staff and students thrive, and is a vibrant, multicultural hub of learning, creativity and innovation.
Faculty / Directorate
You will join a dedicated Learning and Organisational Development team passionate about empowering colleagues and managers to grow and succeed. The team works collaboratively to design and deliver innovative learning solutions and development initiatives. As part of People Services, you will partner with subject matter experts to provide a seamless, high-quality, people-centred experience.
Role
You will design, deliver and support high-quality learning and development activities across DMU, identifying learning needs and creating effective interventions, workshops and resources for blended and self-directed learning. You will maintain essential training with subject matter experts, ensuring content is up to date, monitoring completion and recommending improvements, while supporting colleagues on apprenticeship programmes.
You will evaluate the impact of learning activities and contribute to clear reporting to support decision-making, while helping to build a positive learning culture by modelling DMU’s values and promoting inclusive practice.
Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a proactive learning and development professional with experience designing and facilitating engaging interventions, confident in analysing needs, developing practical solutions and supporting colleagues at all levels. You will have strong communication and relationship-building skills, the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and deliver high-quality learning experiences, and be organised, analytical and comfortable evaluating impact and monitoring compliance. Apprenticeship experience is desirable but not essential. You will bring a positive, inclusive approach and contribute to a supportive, collaborative team committed to delivering excellent learning experiences.
