Estates and Campus Services Marketing, Communications, and Business Development support a number of campus-based services within the University including Accommodation Essex, Event Essex, Essex Sport, Essex Rebels, Wivenhoe House Hotel, Wivenhoe Park Day Nursery, and Essex Food.
Duties of the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our dynamic Marketing and Communications team for a talented and driven Senior Marketing Officer. This role will lead the delivery of marketing strategy and activity for Estates and Campus Services, supporting a diverse portfolio of services and business units. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping innovative, audience-focused campaigns that engage University staff, students, and external customers, while providing leadership and guidance to a team of Marketing Officers.
Skills and qualifications required
A successful Senior Marketing Officer will demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills, with proven experience managing a team. They will possess significant experience in delivering integrated marketing and communications strategies, with a particular strength in digital marketing, including SEO, paid media, social media, and content management.
The fixed-term post is for a period until 31 October 2026 to cover a period of maternity leave for a permanent member of staff.
You should note that there is provision in the terms of appointment for this fixed-term post to end earlier by due notice (1 month), if the permanent member of staff decides to return early to her post.
