An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Quality Enhancement to join the Academic Quality Unit at the University of Worcester.
The Academic Quality Unit is a proactive and forward‑looking team that provides strategic oversight of academic quality and standards, champions continuous enhancement, and offers expert advice to support the University in meeting regulatory requirements while continually improving the student academic experience.
As a Head of Quality Enhancement, you will bring expert knowledge and leadership to maintain a strategic, risk‑based, and enhancement‑focused approach to academic quality assurance across the University. You will lead the University’s academic performance continuous monitoring system, fostering a strong data‑informed culture and ensuring robust analysis and reporting that underpins institutional decision‑making, strategic enhancement priorities, and the University’s success in TEF.
Working closely with the Director of Academic Quality, you will play a key role in managing the effective operation of academic quality assurance processes, including course approvals, monitoring and review, external examining, and partnership provision, driving innovation and simplification. You will be expected to draft, maintain, and review academic quality policies and guidance, advising colleagues across the University on compliance requirements and reporting.
You will bring excellent management and interpersonal skills to provide operational leadership to the Academic Quality Unit and work in partnership with schools and departments.
This is an influential role with scope to shape institutional approaches to quality enhancement, and contribute to strategic priorities including TEF across the University.
If you are an experienced academic quality professional, with an in-depth understanding of the regulatory landscape, strong management skills, and a commitment to enhancement‑led quality assurance, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the University.
