We are seeking experienced Business Analysts at both Business Analyst and Senior Business Analyst level to join the Strategic Projects Office within the PPSC. These are permanent roles that play a critical part in shaping and delivering high‑priority strategic programmes and projects that support the University’s Strategy.

Whether operating at practitioner level or providing strategic leadership, you will apply strong business analysis expertise to help the University make informed decisions, realise benefits, manage risk and deliver sustainable change.

The Roles

As part of the Business Analysis team, you will work closely with stakeholders across the University to support the scoping, analysis and delivery of portfolio programmes and projects. Your work will inform effective governance, effective allocation of resources, comprehensive risk management and robust benefits realisation.

Both roles will, in the first instance, support high‑priority strategic programmes of related initiatives that require further discovery work to identify solutions that generate efficiencies and create organisational capacity.

At Grade 8, you will play a strategic leadership role and will:

  • Engage directly with University Executive Board members who sponsor strategic projects, as well as senior project leads and Project Board members.
  • Lead business analysis activity within complex strategic programmes, establishing clarity, shaping options and making evidence‑based recommendations.
  • Translate institutional strategy into practical, deliverable outcomes.
  • Advise senior leaders on feasibility, impact, benefits and risk.
  • Take responsibility for BA work planning and the quality of business analysis outputs across the programme.
  • Mentor, support and advise less experienced Business Analysts within the PPSC to help build business analysis capability across the organisation.
  • Support governance boards with high‑quality analysis, insight and documentation.

At the strategic level, the Senior Business Analyst is not only documenting requirements, but actively shaping university‑wide decisions and long‑term transformation initiatives.

About You

To succeed as a Senior Business Analyst, you will:

  • Bring credibility, resilience and expertise to lead business analysis activity within complex strategic projects.
  • Have extensive experience of business process mapping and analytical techniques.
  • Be highly proficient at engaging with and influencing stakeholders, including at senior leadership level.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted working relationships across senior and operational teams.
  • Be motivated to coach and mentor others and help build organisational capability.

Be part of a team driving ambitious, institution‑wide change. At PPSC, we bring strategy, insight, planning and delivery together to build a high‑performing, forward‑looking organisation. We work collaboratively across the University to turn strategic ambitions into reality, guided by our principles of collaboration, clarity and capability.

The Business Analysis team provides a wide range of services, including:

  • Business relationship management
  • Root cause analysis
  • Business case development
  • Business and capability modelling
  • Requirements management
  • Business readiness and testing support
  • Enabling services
