We are seeking an inspirational educator and role model to lead the delivery and quality assurance of clinical teaching in surgery across year five of the school’s undergraduate medicine programme. The post-holder will ensure equivalent learning across all clinical placements and also be involved in clinical teaching to ensure it remains relevant to meeting the requirements for a primary medical qualification. As a subject matter expert, you will also work with colleagues ain other years to ensure the surgical content of the course is accurate and up-to-date.
The role will involve working on the campus sites of both the partner universities in Canterbury & Medway and conducting extensive liaison work with placement providers based across Kent and Medway.
The role is open to suitably qualified individuals who have a specific interest and background in undergraduate medical education, and who are working in current NHS clinical surgical practice. The successful applicant should have contemporary expertise in curriculum design, delivery and evaluation in undergraduate and/or medical education. Ideally, they will also have experience of clinical and educational supervision, student support, inter-professional learning and assessment.
