Are you passionate about contributing to Danish society by educating skilled engineers and playing a key role in technology implementation through close industrial collaboration?

We invite you to join our section, Energy Technology and Computer Science, where you will work alongside approximately 25 colleagues with a mix of research and industrial experience. The section focuses on the convergence of three core domains—Energy, Computer Science, and Healthcare. We address two major societal challenges: strengthening the resilience of critical infrastructure, including the security and stability of energy systems and communication networks; and advancing social inclusion and reintegration by enabling equitable participation in society, education, and the workforce. This work is supported through accessible and assistive technologies, particularly for individuals affected by disability, illness, or social marginalization.

Responsibilities and qualifications

Your contribution will be within the field of computer science with an emphasis on education and innovation through industrial collaboration preferably in several of the following areas:

  • Software development methods and processes
  • Complex systems and DevOps
  • Cybersecurity (technical and regulatory aspects)
  • Programming from introductory to industry‑oriented levels

In this position, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills across these areas, as well as other relevant fields. You will also contribute to the section’s research and development agenda through your professional experience and network.

Your overall focus will be to strengthen the department’s education, innovation and industrial collaboration within computer science to fulfil the increasing demand for academic as well as industrial knowledge within this field and competences across multiple engineering programs. To do so, you will:

  • Develop the field by identifying practical, regulatory, and industrial challenges and requirements
  • Contribute to and take leadership at different stages of research and development projects
  • Teach and supervise in multiple BEng - and part-time diploma-programmes within the above-mentioned fields

You must be responsible for the teaching of courses. DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages, and in time are expected to master both. Fluency in Danish will be considered an advantage.

As formal qualification, you must hold a master’s degree (or equivalent) as well as three years of relevant practical experience or an industrial PhD degree.

You will be assessed against the responsibilities and qualifications stated above and the following general criteria:

  • Experience and quality of teaching
  • Research and development experience
  • Societal impact
  • Innovativeness, including commercialization and collaboration with industry
  • Leadership, collaboration, and interdisciplinary skills
