An exciting and interesting opportunity has arisen within the Finance and Commercial Department at the University of Gloucestershire for an experienced and customer focused Finance Administrator with strong accounts payable and administration skills to add value in a rapidly evolving environment.
The post is located within the Financial Operations Team; you will be a key member of the team and will be responsible for the processing of all accounts payable related transactions. You will be responsible for creating payment files, reconciling both supplier statements and the creditor’s ledger. As a key contact for all internal and external accounts payable enquiries excellent communication and customer service skills are essential. You will be proactive with a commitment to continuous improvement and must be responsive to change. Excellent customer service skills are essential as you will be the first point of contact for supplier queries and will work collaboratively with the business to follow up any queries.
Applicants will be required to be hands on and have a flexible committed and proactive attitude to delivering an accurate payments service. You will be proactive in delivering a high-quality payments function with a commitment to continuous improvement and must be responsive to change.
Good IT skills are essential, and you must have excellent organisational skills, be able to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
